Caribbean Country Blues Master does it all Online!

C W Colt Creates Musical World on the Web

"At ten years old Chet Atkins taught me my first chords on the guitar and since that day I've never stopped playing."

Not many other musicians can say that - and for C W Colt it was just the beginning of an incredible musical career that has included working with the likes of Waylon Jennings, Jimmy Buffett and Patsy Montana.

Now the Caribbean country blues master is bringing live music directly into your home via the Internet. Every Wednesday and Friday 7 PM EST, he can be watched by logging on to www.cwcolt.com. C W is an independent artist who has discovered a way of bringing his vision to a worldwide audience.

Viewers can directly interact with C W during his performance, which will feature a number of special guests. C W says, "I am immensely excited about broadening people's understanding of country and blues using the Internet, rather than being force-fed a few songs endorsed by the few major labels."

Listeners who log on will hear cuts from C W Colt's new album, Cowboys, Kings and Long Lost Treasures, the third insta llment in a 12-CD project called "Legends and Treasures." The CD is already in the top 100 in spins and two cuts from the CD are getting noticed. "The Best Thing" recently hit the #1 spot of the top 40 Independent country songs in the USA charts, and "On a Train" is in the top 50 of the International ECMA charts.

The album was recorded in Nashville, and was co-produced with Herb Shucher and Lance Dary from Randy Travis' band. These remarkable songs are inspired by C W's troubadour life, telling tales of love, loss, and adventure. Appropriately, the album cover features kindred-spirit Bert Kilbride, treasure hunter of the British Virgin Islands and regarded by many as a real life pirate of the Caribbean. Other featured legends are Mel Fisher, Captain Tony, Chief James Billie and Sonny Landreth.

C W has received his fair share of critical plaudits through the years for his live shows and recording career:

"There is no doubt he knows what to do with a banjo or guitar in his hand, flashing streaks of brilliance at times."
Bill Jackson, Tribune

"His style is a wonderful blend of island spirit and country sensibility."
The Newspaper, Key West

"Colt's unique sound is a jumpy and jazzy, funky and folksy mix of musical styles that's ideal for his milieu."

About C W Colt

C W Colt started his first band in San Antonio, Texas in 1963. As a military dependent he traveled with his father, often living in exotic countries and always performing everywhere he went.

After time spent entertaining troops in Southeast Asia, he relocated to Colorado and mastered the banjo and fiddle. In his twenties, C W worked on "The America the Beautiful Show" in Nashville at Marty Robbin's studio, and in his thirties began working with such legendary figures as Alvin Lee, Bo Diddley, Hank Thompson and Patsy Montana. He also appeared in Jim Carrey's first film, Copper Mountain.

Since moving to Florida, he has come into his own as a solo artist. Compiling forty years of original songwriting, he has set sail on this musical odyssey that is the Legends and Treasures series.

When completed, the 12 CDs will come with a treasure chest, and all will have legendary explorers and adventurers decorating the front covers. All of C W's life experiences, talent and vision have coalesced into this project.

C W's attitude to his music is summed up well by the man himself, "I want to take someone's mind off their troubles for a few seconds, or maybe help them get through life with something I have written."
